Game of Thrones has taken the world by storm!  The series is an adaptation of the fantasy novel series written by George R. R. Martin, A Song of Ice and Fire.   The adaptation was created by David Benioff and D. B. Weiss.

The series began in April of 2011 and quickly gained footing with huge amounts of fans of all ages and from all over the world.  Game of Thrones is known for its violent and sexual content, and keeps viewers hooked with the never ending surprise of what will happen next.  The story follows a number of noble families, including the Lannisters, Starks, Targaryens, Greyjoys, Baratheons, and more!

Game of Thrones takes place on fictional continents, Westeros and Essos, to include a variety of different cities throughout the Seven Kingdoms to include the entire cast.  The story consists of three plot lines with the first featuring a number of noble families competing to claim the Iron Throne and the title of King of the Seven Kingdoms.  The second follows the attempts of an exiled family to reclaim the throne that they believe is rightly theirs.  The third plot line features the rising threat that winter is coming, and the mystical creatures that inhabit the North above the wall and threaten all of those in the Seven Kingdoms.

This amazing series has won a total of 26 Primetime Emmy Awards, including the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series in 2015 and numerous other awards and nominations, including three Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation, a Peabody Award, and three Golden Globe Award nominations.
